The Story

Owner and operator Sarah Roy is self-taught and has been in the restaurant industry front to back for 20 years. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Sarah was exposed to many different cultures and cuisines as a child. Being of Pakistani decent, curry, roti, and Chinese style vegetables were common meal items at home. Indonesian, Korean, Indian, and several Chinese restaurants were her family’s favorite places to eat. These flavors and styles are what Sarah enjoys experimenting with. She started her very modest business mostly by herself, using personal appliances, and occasionally the helping hands of friends.

Sipid Bites began its journey as an on-site catering business in October of 2011, specializing in small bites and hors d’oeuvres, geared towards private tastings at wineries and cocktail parties. It grew fast by its second year as a lunch spot serving authentic Pakistani and Indian curries, hand-made naan, and much more.

Sipid Bites has been doing catering, delivery, and Sipid Supper Club, a dinner club that features different cuisines and special menus. "It's a beautiful dining experience without the bustling restaurant atmosphere. A chance to try new and unique dishes in a more intimate, private dinner setting."

With the COVID-19 pandemic things have taken several steps back, and are currently being restructured, as well as the content of this site.

It’s an ever growing and evolving business, but it’s the passion for good, healthy food, made with local and organic ingredients and the joy that it brings to your palate that keeps it going. We look forward to sharing the next chapter with you!
